Shipmate Don McElfresh sent us a newspaper clipping from October, 1945.  It's about the Navy Day event in New York Harbor where Renshaw was a participant. This is the one where President Harry Truman was aboard Renshaw to observe the ceremony. Thanks to Don for passing this bit of Naval History to us.

Here are a couple items for the Bulletin Board today:

Bill Hammers has notified us that he has two copies of the 1963-64 Renshaw Cruise Book. He thinks he might have picked up the extra one by mistake at one of our reunions.  If you are missing your copy of this cruise book, contact Bill Hammers.    Along with that, Bill has a request. He is looking for a sketch of the Renshaw that he can use on some ball caps he is having developed.. If you have something you think he can use, get in touch with him.

Shipmate Don McElfresh has written an article for Military Magazine, which was published in a recent issue. It covers some Renshaw info and stories related to our final reunion. We have a PDF version of the article posted. Click here to view it.

To all Renshaw shipmates:

Happy New Year 2016. With this, we start our info notes file for the new year. Let us hear from you. We don't have means for you to post your note here directly, so just send it to me in an email and I'll put it up.
