It's about the Navy Day event in New York Harbor where Renshaw was a participant. This is the one where President Harry Truman was aboard Renshaw to observe the ceremony. Thanks to Don for passing this bit of Naval History to us. ------- 13 March 2016 Received this sad note from a friend of Shipmate Edgar Wright: "I am sorry to inform you that crew member from WWII, Ed (Red) Wright passed away on March 9, 2016 in Charlotte NC. His obit is in the March 11th issue of the Charlotte Observer and also at forestlawnwest.com." Shipmate Wright attended couple of our reunions in recent years. ------- Here is another note on cruise books, Jan McCurry notified us that she has an extra copy of the 1965 Renshaw Cruise Book. If you would like to have it, contact Jan. ------- 26 January 2016 Here are a couple items for the Bulletin Board today: Bill Hammers has notified us that he has two copies of the 1963-64 Renshaw Cruise Book. He thinks he might have picked up the extra one by mistake at one of our reunions. If you are missing your copy of this cruise book, contact Bill Hammers. Along with that, Bill has a request. He is looking for a sketch of the Renshaw that he can use on some ball caps he is having developed.. If you have something you think he can use, get in touch with him. ------- Shipmate Don McElfresh has written an article for Military Magazine, which was published in a recent issue. Received this sad note from a friend of Shipmate Edgar Wright:

"I am sorry to inform you that crew member from WWII, Ed (Red) Wright passed away on March 9, 2016 in Charlotte NC. His obit is in the March 11th issue of the Charlotte Observer and also at forestlawnwest.com."

Shipmate Wright attended couple of our reunions in recent years.

Bill Hammers has notified us that he has two copies of the 1963-64 Renshaw Cruise Book. He thinks he might have picked up the extra one by mistake at one of our reunions. If you are missing your copy of this cruise book, contact Bill Hammers. Along with that, Bill has a request. He is looking for a sketch of the Renshaw that he can use on some ball caps he is having developed.. If you have something you think he can use, get in touch with him.
