USS Midway Tour, Two Hour narrated Harbor Excursion, and Box Lunch.

Departed the Town & Country Hotel @ 0930. The Midway opens @ 10:00, with advanced tickets the group boards together with no lines. Everyone received a complimentary audio set and this allows the group to fan out to their favorite exhibits.

At noon we reboarded the bus and proceeded a short distance to enjoy a two hour narrated harbor excursion, passing by five military installations, and just before mooring, passed by the bow of the Midway for another excellent photo op.

Everyone also received a box lunch, with dessert and beverage, to enjoy at their leisure during the two hour cruise.

The group returned back to the hotel by 1530.

City Tour, Mount Soledad, Coronado, Balboa Park, Seaport Village.

Departed @ 0900, to return by 1430. The tour started at Mount Soledad 900 feet above sea level with a sweeping 360 degree view of the blue Pacific, and San Diego, looking all the way to Mexico. the group had a chance to explore the Memorial on foot, and take pictures.

The narrated tour also included scenic Coronado, Balboa Park, est. in 1915 for the Panamanian Expo of the same year. Plus an hour stop at Seaport Village with a chance to browse, purchase postcards, souvenirs, and enjoy the harbor side village.

Lunch was at the famed Bali Hai restaurant on Shelter Island with a 270 degree view of the harbor and the city skyline. There were several entree choices, along with dessert and beverage.

Returning by 1400-1430 the group had time to enjoy the afternoon at either the pool or the hospitality room.
